The City of Angels witnessed citywide celebrations after the Los Angeles Dodgers clinched a nail-biting seven-match World Series championship. Supporters worldwide joined local residents in jubilation, marking the first time in a quarter-century that a franchise has secured consecutive championships.
Celebration Parade Draws Enormous Crowds
Local events included a procession through the city center on Monday morning, a ticketed rally at the team's home stadium, and impromptu gatherings throughout the city.
Online footage show thousands of Los Angeles residents packing city center avenues, many displaying homemade signs and Dodger flags. The squad was seen riding high on a open-top bus through the masses, hoisting the championship trophy proudly.
